FAQ's
Q. what are these machines made from?
A. The carcus is made from good quality sourced 9mm plywood
then painted in a white finish built to last.
Q. How do they work?
A. Seed is poured in through the funnel at the top as it
passes through the machine it goes through a stream of blown air
and the husk will be collected in the dust bag and the good seed
will fall into the tub at the bottom.
Q. How will i know when the dust bag is full?
A. You can feel the dust bag to see if it is full, When
it is full the husk will be blown into the tub and probably start
to blow about everywhere so empty the bag soon as this happens.
Q.Can i take the machine apart to clean it?
A. You wont need to clean the machine inside it is a sealed
ducting system, If you try to take the machine apart you could destroy
it and the warranty will be void.
Q. If it breaks down what do i do?
A. Don't try and fix it yourself this could destroy it,
please send it back to us for repair or replacement, contact me
for address .
Q. Will it run on battery's or just mains.?
A At the moment these models run from the mains, A battery
and mains model (Duel Power)is now in development.
Q. Can i use this in my house.?
A. I wouldn't recommend this, It is best to use in your
aviary area perhaps mounted on a shed wall near a mains outlet,
Dealing with bird seed/husk will always be a messy business, as
with all machines I've used. You can still get some husk on the
floor.?
Q. does the machine ever block up.?
A. No as long as you avoid putting greenery foods,coconut
fibre or other objects apart from seed into it, Small amounts normaly
pass through however if your seeds contain excessive husk it may
block the funnel sometimes, Just use the plunger rod supplied and
push into funnel tube this always clear the funnel, you cannot damage
the system by this method.For foreign matter in the seeds i normally
sieve it first see my testing page for more details.
Q. what guarantee comes with this machine.?
A.All my products are homemade to very high standards therefore
I guarantee them for 6 months for repairs or replacement of components
unless physically damaged by the customer. Do not attempt to fix
it yourself this will void any guarantees and possibly destroy the
machine, This does not affect your statutory rights.
Q. I still have some husk in my seeds.?
A. Depending on how fast you pour it into the funnel this
does happen, I always recommend to feed it into the machine more
than once it wont affect it in anyway, I normally feed it in 2 or
3 times to get good quality seed. Any amount of times won't affect
operation.
